Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Switch is one of the most powerful experiences of the current generation, and has received much acclaim and commercial success.
In a new interview with the game’s producer and current Nintendo Zelda title supervisor Eiji Aonuma, he indicated that the game was going to be released under a different name. The proposed title for the game was “Tears of the Dragon”, but putting the word Dragon in the title would have caused a problem since we needed to design the game’s logo with a dragon image in some way, so one of the development team members suggested changing the word to Kingdom and the name was approved.
