Michael Douse, head of publishing at Larian Studio, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, revealed via Twitter that the studio is working on full and official cross-platform support for the design and circulation of materials for a period of time, and intends to launch it soon during the year 2024, but he has not set a date for that.
“We generally don’t talk about things until they’re ready, but as you’ve read, we’re making an exception,” Doss wrote.
“We’ve been working on a robust plan across devices to support the mod that will be released later this year. We love our modding community and want to support them.”
“We have a system, but it needs testing and still requires work. We’re excited about that. I understand it’s bad when the game gets updated and mods crash. Our community teams will start talking to the modding community and updating them on the details. For now, the work continues.”
