After the great success of the title Elden Ring from Bandai Namco and From Software studios, selling more than 20 million copies globally, it seems that the second part of the game may be released by From Software studios only, without the need for the Japanese publisher, with the announcement that they have acquired the full rights to the name.
As part of the desire of Kodawaka, the parent company of From Software Studios, to transform it from a development team into a game publisher, the rights to the Elden Ring title were fully acquired and within the support the team received from Sony and Tencent’s investment in the team during the last period.
