In a new interview with Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft’s gaming department, to talk about the company’s decision to bring 4 exclusive Xbox games to competing platforms this year, Spencer expressed his desire to see Nintendo and Sony games on Xbox as well.
Spencer stated that he ruled out this happening, and that bringing some of their games to competing platforms is not a trade-off that results in competitors bringing their games to Xbox, and the company made the decision because it is best for Xbox from a commercial perspective.
Spencer mentioned the game Helldivers and praised it, stating that he did not see the harm in bringing a game like it to the Xbox as well, and whether there was an actual benefit in not bringing it to their platform.
