Members of Pocket Pair, the developer of Palworlds, revealed that they received death threats and verbal abuse solely because some Pokemon and “other platform” fans believe that monsters in the game resemble Pokemon monsters, and also because of bigotry because Palworlds is not on PlayStation.
The threats forced the studio to break its silence and respond to accusations of using artificial intelligence to create copies of the designs of famous Pokemon monsters, as Takuro Mizobe, CEO of the Pocket Pair development team, indicated that most of the game’s designs were worked on by a recent graduate student.
