Speaking on the Game Maker’s Notebook podcast, Mr. Yoshi-P revealed that he believes someone new should take over the reins in the new part of the series, saying:
I’ve been working on two parts, I think it’s time for someone completely new to take over.
“I think in some ways it would be good to look to the future and bring in a younger generation with more youthful concepts to create a new FF game with challenges that fit today’s world.”
