MailDex by Encryptomatic LLC is a Windows software tool for indexing, detecting and converting emails. MailDex works with a variety of email formats, including Outlook .pst, .ost, and .msg files, as well as .eml, .mbox, winmail.dat, and .mht files. With MailDex you can find a “needle in a haystack” when one important email is hidden among millions.
MailDex has an advanced email rendering engine capable of accurately displaying complex Microsoft Outlook messages, including Rich Text emails with embedded graphics and special formatting such as shapes, SmartArt, and embedded charts. Hundreds of non-standard email formatting exceptions have been identified and included in the code individually, allowing our MailDex to display emails that other products cannot. This means you get very accurate images when converting email to image documents such as PDF. Reply and forward email messages with MailDex using the default Windows email application such as Thunderbird, Outlook, or any other email client.
MailDex is project driven, so, for example, a law firm doing multiple case searches might create multiple projects. This simplifies discovery and prevents content mixing. With MailDex you can create an unlimited number of projects. Each project can index an unlimited number of emails. Search for a single project or search for all your projects. Email files within a project or an entire project can be removed from your MailDex index at any time.
MailDex natively supports indexing various types of email content. You can add Outlook .pst, .ost, or .mbox email files, or choose a Windows folder with .msg or .eml files, or a mixture of email content. MailDex starts indexing email content immediately after it is added to the project. The status column informs you about the progress of the indexing. MailDex is optimized for fast indexing in excess of 12,000 emails per minute on a modest computer resource.
PST to PDF conversion
Export emails from Microsoft Outlook PST files to PDF documents. It also exports MSG, EML, OST and MHT files to PDF. A range of PDF export options let you decide how to handle email file attachments: extract them to disk, convert them to PDF images, or embed them as separate files. Support for ISO 19005-1, an important email archiving standard, also known as PDF/A.

Finding .PST Files
