Ubisoft announced that the critically acclaimed Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown will be available on mobile devices including Android and iOS on April 14, with a free trial allowing players to explore the game's premise.
This Metroidvania-inspired platform action-adventure has been fully adapted for mobile devices by Ubisoft Da Nang, integrating all features to ensure an action-packed experience on the go, without the need for an internet connection.
The mobile version features high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay, supporting 60 frames per second on most modern devices. It's also fully compatible with smartphones and tablets, allowing players to experience Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Mobile using either an external controller or a touchscreen.
With button remapping and touch control options, users can change the size, position, and transparency of controls to suit their playstyle. This mobile version also introduces new features, such as automatic healing with magic potions, automatic parrying, and time-slowing options, as well as numerous mobile-specific quality-of-play improvements that make the game more accessible to all players.
It also retains all the gameplay and usability features of the original game, which won the "Innovation in Usability" award at The Game Awards 2024. These features include the "Wanderer's Eye" tool, which allows players to take screenshots and pin them to the map for visual reference. Additionally, the game offers all optional usability features such as adaptive difficulty to enemy encounters and platforming assistance.
In this exciting adventure, players embody Sargon, a talented Persian warrior from the legendary elite squad known as the Immortals. Set in the mythical world of Mount Qaf, players embark on a journey to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan and restore balance to this once magical, now cursed land.
Players will unleash their inner warrior by utilizing time-bending powers, combat skills, and platforming to execute stylish combat combos and defeat a variety of time-corrupted enemies and mythical creatures within a Souls-like combat system.
They will explore a cursed world inspired by Persian civilization, filled with imaginative monuments and richly detailed, interconnected environments, each with its own unique identity, charm, and inherent danger. The game offers an epic adventure as players immerse themselves in the story of Sargon, solving puzzles, discovering hidden treasures, and completing quests, all with the goal of unraveling the mysteries of Mount Qaf.
The game will be available for €14.99, with a special launch discount of €9.99 for the first three weeks of availability on the App Store and Play Store, starting April 14/16.
