Information about the game.
Guilty Gear X is a very interesting fighting game. It offers many new ideas for this type of game, and it is the first high-resolution two-dimensional fighting game ever released, and perhaps the best two-dimensional fighting game after SNK and Capcom games.
The first thing that will catch your eye is the visual effects. The effects of Guilty Gear X are stunning in every sense of the word. It's amazing what the high resolution of hand-drawn graphics offers. The effects are excellent, the backgrounds are beautiful, and the characters look great. My only problem with GGX effects is animations. While it's not entirely deficient, it doesn't look as good as it was supposed to be. However, this game is one of the best two-dimensional games ever in terms of form.
As expected, the sound is not distinctive. sound effects as they should, with a few exceptions (the sound of the air rushing sounds a bit strange). Electronic guitar music is rather ordinary, although it fits well into the game. Then we have the gameplay. Guilty Gear X is unique, to say the least. The added new gameplay features are interesting and represent a great change in the pace of gameplay. First, you can build your own metric once you move forward. Although this is great, you'll lose it if you don't make progress.
Next, there is the "Roman cancellation" feature. For half the value of your scale, you can press three buttons to unrestore most attacks, even after a collision is detected. This may lead to some exaggerated offensive compositions. Of course, these aren't all of GGX's unique features; other features include "instant block" (similar to "Defense Only" in Fatal Fury: Mark Of The Wolves), "Perfect Defense", and "Instant Kill". Yes, what I heard is true. It is possible to kill the opponent with one attack. Fortunately, these attacks usually only succeed against the most foolish opponents.
Overall, Guilty Gear X is very cool. I can't say it beats Mark of the Wolves or Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, but it's definitely worth a try, especially since good PC fighting games are rare. This rare English version of the game is adapted from the popular PlayStation version of Cyberfront Studios.
