Bandai Namco intends to strengthen the licensing of its abandonware titles to external companies and studios


 

In a bid to capitalize on its abandoned titles, Bandai Namco has announced its intention to strengthen the option of licensing its games to external companies and studios to work on them and provide new games for them.

Titles like Ridge Racer, Soul Calibur and other titles currently abandoned by the company will be coveted by other companies to use for new video games and the company wants to focus on strengthening this aspect and being more open to any companies and studios willing to provide games with the company's titles.
