YouTube channel RedGamingTech published a new video claiming that Xbox has canceled development of the platform. According to the channel’s sources, there were plans to upgrade the Xbox Series S hardware with an RDNA 3-based graphics processing unit, general improvements in specifications, an increase in RAM, in addition to features Machine learning aimed at improving the upgrade. However, the project was canceled at a very early stage.
As for the reason for the cancellation, the source said that Microsoft was concerned about two things. The first is marketing. The company was concerned about how it would market a stronger version of the Series S device, but it is not powerful enough to be better than the Series Game development processes and making them compatible with two versions of the platform. What will be their reaction if Microsoft adds a new version?
While this information is just rumours, the reasons given by RedGamingTech make sense. What do you think, did you want to see the Xbox Series S in a new version?
