The Federal Trade Commission is still trying to separate Microsoft from Activision Blizzard, even after the official completion of the deal. The Federal Trade Commission recently filed a complaint with the court regarding the wave of layoffs announced by Microsoft, which included many Activision Blizzard employees.
The FTC claims that these dismissals challenge the credibility of Microsoft’s previous statements about Activision Blizzard continuing to operate independently, and so far the court has not issued any reaction that might raise Microsoft’s concern or indicate that the FTC has a chance of achieving its goal.
