Embracer Group confirmed that from March 31, 2023 until December 2023, it dismissed 1,387 employees, a number equivalent to 8% of the company’s employees.
16 studios also canceled the development process for 27 unannounced titles, in a move to restructure the company in order to reduce costs. It said in its financial report that it will seek to achieve further cost reductions, which means that more layoffs will occur in the company.
