In a new interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Elden Ring, there was talk about the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which will add a new map. Miyazaki confirmed that it is similar to the original map in terms of the presence of trenches that the player will discover while walking around, and the size of the new area map will be larger than the Limgrave area in the original map.
The map design will be somewhat different from the original map, with a focus on providing a greater density of details. The team is also excited to try out some new ideas that we will discover during the game. The expansion will introduce 10 new leaders with a new set of weapons and resources, along with 8 new weapon classifications.
Elden Ring will receive the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion on June 21, which will be available for $39.99 on PC and Microsoft and Sony home consoles.
