MP1st monitored what recently appeared during a DrLupo broadcast that focused on the end-game content of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, that if players do not follow mission orders, for any reason, their character’s head will be blown off by Amanda Waller, the leader of Squad X.
Interestingly enough, this revelation came about as a result of the aforementioned broadcast device malfunctioning. Upon returning to the game afterwards, he was told that he had drifted too far from his teammates, and after a countdown – during which Waller began issuing threats – Captain Boomerang’s head exploded with a bomb. Which Waller places inside his head as a way to control him and his colleagues. It is a method we know from the films and comics of the character, and it provides an acceptable and logical excuse within the context of the story to make players committed to following the missions, but does this keep the game entertaining? It remains to wait and see.
More details about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and its crossover with DC’s Elseworlds will be revealed when the next episode of the Insider series airs tomorrow, January 22.
