With the British Trade and Competition Authority (CMA) announcing the postponement of its final decision regarding the acquisition of Activity Blizzard from Microsoft, a spokesman for the latter indicated that Microsoft does not expect to complete the deal now until next October.
This means activating the item of increasing fines for non-implementation of the deal, which was previously decided at $3 billion, and will rise to $3.5 billion on August 29, and to $4.5 billion if the deal is not completed on September 15.
