Smadav is a security program from Indonesian developers designed to further protect the system from viruses and malware. It can be installed and used in conjunction with another antivirus as a second front to protect your system.
Smadav uses its own detection technologies based on behavior, heuristics and whitelisting, as well as detection based on artificial intelligence Smadav-AI. Since Smadav is not designed to provide full system protection, the developers recommend using it only in conjunction with your main antivirus, or as a scanner for periodic system checks.
Additionally, Smadav provides protection against infection via USB drives. Smadav checks all connected USB drives and removes malicious files, including unknown threats. Smadav
Programconsumes little system resources and Internet traffic, so its operation will not affect system performance. The paid version of Smadav Pro includes additional tools for restoring some operating system settings that may have been changed by viruses or malware. Also, the paid version does not have a pop-up banner and has some additional features, such as password protection.
