Form-Z Pro is a powerful tool for creating solid and surface 3D shapes, containing a variety of computer-aided design tools: polygons, polyhedra, parametric smooth curves, NURBS, patches and metaballs, as well as smooth completion of surface elements. It is a tool for bringing your ideas to life and finding new solutions. FormZ Pro includes all the features of the FormZ jr version, plus many advanced modeling tools, STEP and IGES translators, animation, layout, network rendering, and interface customization. Creation of photorealistic images, global illumination, as well as the creation of sketches are presented in an additional plug-in RenderZone. If you can imagine a form, you can create one with FormZ Pro.
Simple interface
The 3D modeling software has a simple and pleasant interface that provides easy access to the tools you need. The formZ interface consists of project windows, including menus, toolbars, and palettes. The project window is the main one, here the 3D model is created, edited and displayed.
The “smart” interface seems to “feel” the user’s desires and protects him from performing unnecessary actions. For example, this is done by automating the process of selecting elements and building guides for more accurate modeling.
Structured Modeling
The new structured modeling introduced in formZ 8 allows you to create and manipulate unique organic shapes. Models are built from a simple base mesh and then interactively reshaped manually or automatically using new tools that allow you to grow, extrude, compress, create bridges and create objects similar to the original. Structured models remain parametric, allowing them to be further upgraded and surface controlled.
RenderZone support
Added new modeling mode – relief model (shaded working). The familiar wire frame, hidden lines, shaded full, and doodle modes have also moved into the new version of the program.
Creation of photorealistic images, global illumination, as well as the creation of sketches are presented in an additional plug-in RenderZone.
Round to Holdline
The new Round to Holdline tool lets you create a round between two (or more) faces of a surface or solid object. The rounding boundaries are set by a curve lying on the surface, and the radius is automatically determined by the location of this curve along the entire trajectory.
Visualization
Interactive clipping planes allow you to see sections of models without damaging them. The dynamic interface for managing these planes gives you full control over the design process.
The new Sun Palette allows you to quickly simulate natural lighting in a building at any given time of day. In addition, the program can quickly create an animated video of lighting changes during the day or even a year.
The new virtual reality creation feature VC creation will help you create a video panorama walk around the model.
Working with NURBZ
The completely redesigned NURBZ toolbox combines incredible power with unparalleled ease of use. The new tool for analyzing NURBZ objects helps to evaluate their features and improve the model.
Complex curves and surfaces can be quickly and easily shaped with math shaping tools. You can also use the built-in libraries of predefined shapes to create new objects.
3D modeling
Creation and subsequent editing of three-dimensional forms can be performed both dynamically and by entering parametric data.
The Reshape tool, which performs Boolean operations in real time, gives you incredible flexibility in modeling and allows you to efficiently create solid objects that can be easily further processed if necessary.
