PhotoFiltre Studio is a program for easy and fast creation of graphic compositions. It includes tools that allow both creating new works and editing ready-made drawings. In PhotoFiltre, you can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, correct gamma, use all kinds of filters (watercolor, pastels, ink, etc.) In addition, this editor can work with decorative text, optimize graphics, create greeting envelopes and postcards from ready-made templates. You can significantly expand the program options by connecting plug-ins to it.
In addition, there are more than a hundred image processing filters at the user’s disposal, such as watercolor, pastel, jigsaw puzzle effect, etc. Those filters that are used most often are placed on the toolbar for easier access. Other features of PhotoFiltre Studio include the use of layers, advanced selection options, and saving the selection as a separate file for later use. The program interface has been translated into several languages, including Russian.
PhotoFiltre Studio provides support for filters from Adobe Photoshop (8bf format, 32 bit only! install in any directory, nesting of subdirectories is allowed) which allows you to connect any number of plug-in sets you need, placing them in an external directory relative to the main Plugins directory of the program ( the path to this directory is specified in “Settings -> 8BF”) and switch them as necessary, although this will require restarting the PhotoFiltre Studio program.
This editor should rather be attributed to entry-level professional packages, and in this area of application there are simply no reasonable alternatives for a Russian-speaking user – it can work with fonts as easily as professional DTP packages, it works with any image sources, although it puts forward a strict condition – a full-fledged image processing should be performed in the mode of 16 million colors, and better True Color (16 million colors + transparency channel – “true, physical, colorimetric color”) to eliminate the possibility of loss of color information. Simple graphics editors like Paint, PaintNET, and the like don’t do this, and often distort the color of images.
